Sacraments Information


Baptism
Baptism is the first sacrament of Christian initiation by which we are cleansed of original sin and incorporated into the Church, becoming children of God and members of the Body of Christ (CCC 1213). It is necessary for salvation and confers an indelible mark on the soul, sealing us with the Holy Spirit and enabling us to participate fully in the life of the Church (CCC 1272).
Requisites: Parents must be registered parishioners (registered parishioners; has actively been attending Sunday Masses at least 6 months prior to baptism). Parents must provide a valid birth certificate of the child. Godparents, if single, must provide their three sacraments certificates; If married, they must be married through the Catholic Church and provide a certificate plus their Confirmation certificates. Eucharist
In the sacrament of the Eucharist we receive the body and blood of Jesus Christ under the consecrated species of bread and wine, nourishing us spiritually and uniting us with Christ and one another in the Church (CCC 1322). It is the source and summit of the Christian life, strengthening us for our journey of faith and calling us to live in communion with God and our neighbor (CCC 1324).
Quinceanera’s Masses:
You must contact the parish office at least six (6) months prior to the proposed quinceañera date and already have received Baptism and First Communion.They must also be enrolled in and attending CCD Classes or the Youth Group on a regular basis.
Anniversary or special intention Masses:
You must contact the parish office for information and availability.


Confirmation
It is a sacrament of initiation in which we receive the full outpouring of the Holy Spirit, strengthening us to witness to our faith and defend it courageously (CCC 1285). It deepens our baptismal grace and empowers us to live as mature disciples of Christ, active participants in the mission of the Church (CCC 1303).
Reconciliation
The sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation in which we confess our sins to a priest and receive absolution, experiencing God’s mercy and forgiveness (CCC 1422). It reconciles us with God and the Church, restoring us to a state of grace and renewing our relationship with God and our neighbor (CCC 1440).
Confessions Times
Monday through Friday 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. or by appointment.


Anointing of the Sick
It is a sacrament of healing in which the sick and suffering are anointed with oil and prayed over by a priest, receiving strength, peace, and healing in body, mind, and spirit (CCC 1499). It unites the sick person with the suffering and glorified Christ, offering comfort and courage in the face of illness and preparing for the final journey to eternal life (CCC 1523).

Matrimony
It is the sacrament in which a man and a woman enter into a lifelong covenant of love and fidelity, becoming a sign of Christ’s love for the Church (CCC 1601). Through their mutual self-giving and openness to life, spouses participate in God’s creative and redemptive work, building up the domestic Church and nurturing the family as a community of love and life (CCC 1652).
Couples should inquire about premarital preparation and available church dates at least six (6) months prior to the planned wedding date. Do not make any arrangements before contacting the parish office first. All wedding inquiries will be covered through an appointment.


Holy Orders
The sacrament in which bishops, priests, and deacons are ordained for ministry in the Church, serving the People of God in the name of Christ and continuing his mission of teaching, sanctifying, and shepherding (CCC 1536). Through the laying on of hands and the prayer of consecration, ordained ministers are configured to Christ as the Head and Shepherd of the Church, offering their lives in service to God and his people (CCC 1563).
